"Okay." Kahl rubs his fingers, and the droplet and the tiny puncture disappear together.
He scowls around at their surroundings, shifting from foot to foot.
"I can't see any other souls here that aren't from the barge." So at least they don't have to worry about that. "Can I...make something for you?"

Kahl goes a little hazy-eyed. They can see the barge in the distance; some people are swimming here.
Kahl points off down one side of the beach. "There's some rockier areas with cover a little ways that way. If you want to be hidden."
Then he disappears.

Astarion, are you alright? Do you need anything? I'm not certain of everything that happened, but I know some people were hurt.
[ Gale awkwardly switches to audio, but he is definitely quiet and not full of enthusiasm. Being dead recently will do that. ]
Ah, yes, well I appear to be alive again now. Or as alive as any of us are here. Glad to hear you are too, Astarion.

[ Gale clears his throat, takes a breath. ]
I'd rather not talk about it, if it's all the same to you.

Good to know.
[ He does sound tired. ]
You never answered my question. Are you alright? Were you hurt?

[ A little inhale of breath, followed by a sigh of relief as he clarifies. ]
Thank the gods he was here, then. I know our original vessel ended up in quite the predicament. I was afraid that you might have been...

Quite alright, nothing you could have done. Poor timing on my part, really. If I'd been alive I could have helped people. I do appreciate the thought, regardless.
I'm sure there's plenty to be helping with.
[ A pause. ]
Have you noticed anything... different, on this vessel?

You're not wrong. Not that our previous Admiral was my favourite, nor his vessel my ideal location, but this one strikes me as a bubbling pot just waiting to boil over. Whatever restraints they put on my magic have been removed. That means they may have been for other people, as well. People who might be less conservative than I am when it comes to throwing fireballs.
I hope I don't, but if I need to, I'm glad that I can. Be careful, Astarion. Please.
I'd be happy to do so. It isn't as if we haven't camped together before, after all, although in... more traditional circumstances than this.
